March Into Spring!
Welcome to National Nutrition Month!
March is when spring officially begins and we turn our clocks forward for daylight saving time. It also can be a dramatic month with sometimes wild and shifting weather. As the seasons change from winter to spring, it may be the perfect time to shift your own energy. In honor of Nutrition Month, we will be talking even more than usual about what we eat!
“Balance” is the latest word on heart-healthy eating, according to the American Heart Association Scientific Statement which encourages people to adopt broad eating habits instead of focusing on single foods — and it’s not one size fits all.
Healthy eating starts with healthy food choices. You don’t need to be a chef to create nutritious, heart-healthy meals your family will love. Sparkle Health can help you learn more about your own nutrition and what to look for at the grocery store, restaurants, workplace, and any eating occasion.
“A light exists in Spring,
Not present in the year at any other period,
When March is scarcely here.”
~ Emily Dickinson

The Hungry Brain Supporting the ‘Hungry Brain’ for Weight Loss
It is important when contemplating pharmaceutical interventions for weight loss to keep in mind it’s not “one size fits all.” Because everyone is different and will respond to interventions differently, treatment should truly be personalized and combine different modalities. This article will address the hungry brain phenotype outlined in some of the research on precision obesity treatment. The Hungry Gut Supporting the ‘Hungry Gut’ for Weight Loss
The decision to start pharmaceutical interventions for weight loss is never a light one. I do think that these tools are helpful for many people and using these medications with precision, makes a difference. What do I mean by precision? Well, precision medicine is taking into account the individual differences we all have and picks the right intervention for the right person. This is the art and challenge of medicine in general. Luckily there are clues to help figure out what is the best intervention. This is truly not “one size fits all.”We have available Massage Appointments almost every day this month! Call to book today.
