Nourishing Mind, Body, & Spirit
Another perfect month for fun & frolic!
November in New England is ideal for outdoor adventures and indoor activities. We enjoy exploring colorful leaf-covered trails on nature hikes, an occasional hayride at a local farm, and some harvest style home-cooking. We have been loving this season of apple picking together, savoring crisp autumn air, and sharing warm spiced cider. Our gratitude for family and friends is overflowing! We plan to carry that right through November.
I have been making the time to incorporate some extra self-care practices as well. I have increased the use of our soul warming far infrared sauna and booked my husband for weekly massages. I have already noticed a boost our moods and overall well-being. The soothing heat of an infrared sauna increases circulation, reduces inflammation, and promote detoxification, which is especially beneficial for us as cooler weather sets in and our bodies are adjusting. Pairing this with massage not only alleviates muscle tension but also enhances relaxation and mental clarity. We are working on ending seasonal stress before it starts! Together, we are keeping in mind; immune health, improved sleep, and greater balance during our very busy fall season. We wish the same for you!
The Importance Of Self-Care
Why is it so important?
Taking care of your mind and body can do wonders to improve your health. Taking time out of your day to treat yourself kindly can go a long way in reducing everyday stress and improving mood – which is essential for self-care.
Stress can take quite a toll on your health in many ways. It affects neurotransmitters such as epinephrine, dopamine, and norepinephrine. It can also affect your hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol. Common symptoms of stress include fatigue, headaches, gastrointestinal issues, rapid heartbeat, chest pain, and insomnia. Chronic stress can also contribute to certain health conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, anxiety, depression, and autoimmune diseases. Practicing daily self-care can improve your health in the long term by helping to better manage . . .

Times They Are A Changin'
There are some important changes at Sparkle Health
Our Current Membership Model Is Changing.
Our Wellness Center is transitioning from our current Membership Model to a Pay-By-Appointment System. This change allows clients to pay only for the services they use, providing greater flexibility and personalized care.
In October, Sparkle Health announced and communicated with our members that we are shifting to a more simple model. If you need to be seen by Dr. Mercuro, an appointment must be scheduled. This will allow for more frequent visits when actively working on an issue and less visits when feeling better (in “cruise control”). Patients will no longer be “members” and will not be charged a membership fee. Patients will be expected to pay for visits when they are booked and used.
To remain an active patient of our practice, Dr. Mercuro requires seeing you at least twice a year, with one of those visits being in person. If you are actively working on an issue, you will be asked to schedule appointments every 4-8 weeks. If you have not been seen in one calendar year, we will consider you inactive and you will be moved to our waiting list (if there is one at that time). In this case you would be required to have a new patient intake visit to become an active patient again.
Sparkle Health has been a membership model since its inception so this change has not come lightly. Our goal to provide the very best service and care for our Sparkle patients remains the same! Pease reach out if you have any questions.

Metabolic detoxification refers to our body’s ability to package up harmful substances in our biological system and eliminate them.
Examples of toxicants that we may be exposed to from the environment including pesticides, herbicides, food additives, plastics, heavy metals and cigarette smoke. I also feel that the Standard American Diet which often has high sugar, high calorie foods that are nutrient poor also contributes to the total toxic burden.
This 10-Day Metabolic Detoxification is your opportunity to clean house and lower your “total body toxic burden”. Dr. Elisa Mercuro will guide you . . .
